Your Skills. Your Progress. Your Future.
At UKSEQ, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to develop their skills, demonstrate their abilities and have their achievements recognised.
UKSEQ is not currently a recognised awarding organisation and does not presently offer regulated qualifications. The learner services and digital features described on this page represent our development plans and may change as our systems and regulatory arrangements progress.
A New Approach to Qualifications
We are building a modern qualifications experience designed around the needs of today's learners, combining trusted assessment standards with innovative digital technology.
Our ambition is simple: make qualifications more accessible, learning more engaging and professional achievement more meaningful.
Learning Designed Around You
We recognise that people learn differently. Some learners thrive in traditional classrooms, while others develop their skills through practical experience, workplace training or independent study. UKSEQ is developing a digital platform designed to support different learning journeys.
Your Own Digital Learner Account
A secure, personal space where you will be able to access relevant qualification information, view your registration status and follow your progress. As our platform develops, we aim to bring important learner information together in one accessible place.
Learning Without Language Barriers
We believe language should not create unnecessary barriers to developing knowledge and skills. Our development plans include multilingual learning support, helping learners understand educational content and prepare for assessments with greater confidence. Where qualifications require assessment in English or Welsh, the applicable assessment and language requirements will continue to apply.
Smarter Learning Support
We are exploring responsible uses of artificial intelligence to make learning more interactive and accessible. Our vision includes digital learning assistance that can help explain complex subjects, provide practice activities and support learners in developing their understanding. AI-supported learning will not replace independent assessment, qualified assessors or the evidence required to demonstrate competence.
Recognising Practical Skills
Not every skill can be demonstrated through a written examination. UKSEQ intends to develop qualifications that recognise practical competence, workplace knowledge and professional behaviours through appropriate assessment methods, including workplace observations, professional discussions and practical demonstrations.
Your Achievements, Clearly Recorded
We are developing secure digital systems intended to support accurate learner records, qualification registration, assessment outcomes and, eventually, certification. Our longer-term ambition is to make it easier for learners to access information about their achievements and provide employers with reliable ways to verify qualifications awarded by UKSEQ.
Built for Accessibility and Inclusion
We are designing our systems with accessibility in mind, including clear navigation, mobile-friendly access and support for learners with different needs. Our aim is to ensure that learners understand the support available to them, how assessment decisions are made and how to raise questions or concerns.
Your Qualification Journey
We are developing a clear process to help learners understand each stage of working towards a UKSEQ qualification.
Join an Approved Centre
Once UKSEQ is recognised and operational, learners will be able to pursue available qualifications through centres approved to deliver them.
Register for Your Qualification
Your centre will arrange qualification registration, subject to the applicable eligibility and registration requirements.
Develop Your Knowledge and Skills
Complete the learning and practical preparation required for your chosen qualification, supported by your centre and UKSEQ's learner resources.
Demonstrate Your Competence
Undertake the relevant assessments and provide the evidence required to meet the qualification standards.
Achieve Your Qualification
Once all requirements have been satisfied and the necessary quality assurance checks completed, eligible learners can be awarded their qualification.
Learner Support & Rights
UKSEQ is committed to ensuring learners are treated fairly, have access to appropriate support and understand their rights throughout the qualification process.
Reasonable Adjustments
We are developing a reasonable adjustments and special considerations policy to ensure learners with disabilities, learning difficulties or other relevant circumstances are not disadvantaged in assessment. Approved centres will be responsible for applying for adjustments on behalf of learners in accordance with UKSEQ's published policy.
Assessment Appeals
Learners will have the right to appeal against assessment decisions they believe to be incorrect or unfair. UKSEQ is developing a clear, accessible appeals process that will be published as part of our qualification documentation.
Complaints Procedure
If a learner has a concern about the conduct of their assessment, the behaviour of centre staff or any other matter relating to their qualification, UKSEQ will provide a formal complaints procedure. Learners will be able to raise concerns directly with UKSEQ where their centre has not resolved the matter satisfactorily.
Malpractice and Maladministration
UKSEQ takes the integrity of its qualifications seriously. Learners are expected to act with honesty and integrity throughout their qualification. Any concerns about malpractice — including plagiarism, cheating or falsification of evidence — will be investigated in accordance with UKSEQ's malpractice policy.
Equality and Diversity
UKSEQ is committed to ensuring that no learner is disadvantaged on the basis of a protected characteristic. Our equality and diversity policy will set out our obligations and the steps we take to promote fair access to qualifications.
Data Protection
Learner data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR. UKSEQ's privacy notice will explain how learner information is collected, used, stored and protected.
Building Something Better
UKSEQ is being developed with a long-term vision for modern vocational education. We want learners to feel informed, supported and confident throughout their qualification journey. By combining professional standards, practical assessment and responsible digital innovation, we aim to create a qualifications experience that is both rigorous and accessible.
“Your potential deserves recognition. Your achievements deserve credibility.”
